Alejandra Castrodad-Rodríguez

Alejandra Castrodad-Rodríguez is an equity activist, policy designer and data architect. She is currently working on a climate vulnerability index for the San Juan Bay Estuary’s Multijurisdictional Multi Hazard Plan. Over the past decades, she has designed climate vulnerability reduction strategies, (Oxfam-America), collaborative design methodologies (City of San Juan) and renewable energy programs (RPPR) for both non-profits and government agencies. Notably, she was the lead designer for the ilumiNACIÓN web-platform, recipient of the 2025 National Design Award in Climate Action (Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum). Previously, she was San Juan’s Chief Resilience Officer (100 Resilient Cities), the Task Force Lead for Puerto Rico’s National Disaster Resilience Competition (HUD), and a GIS data designer and instructor (LSE). She has supported a diverse range of decolonial projects and movements in Puerto Rico, and serves on the boards of Kilómetro Cero and Fundación Juan Mari Brás.
