Anupama Kundoo established her award-winning practice in 1990 and has since built extensively in India, including numerous projects in the experimental city of Auroville. Her research-oriented work focuses on materials with low environmental impact and traditional hand-based technologies that are rooted in their context. Alongside her architecture practice, Anupama has researched and taught at institutions around the world, including TU Berlin, Parsons The New School for Design, in New York, University of Queensland in Brisbane, and the European School of Architecture and Technology at the Universidad Camilo José Cela in Madrid. Since 2024 she has been a professor in Architecture and Design Methods at TU Berlin.
