Boonserm Premthada is an architect and the founding principal of Bangkok Project Studio. Established in 2003, the firm is known for its projects as part of the Thai Government’s Elephant World initiative in Surin Province. Through this work, Boonserm has developed a non-human-centered architecture, investigating the evolving relationship between humanity and the natural world and through materials, structures, and construction processes. The firm’s other past projects have been diverse in scale and use, including the Kantana Film and Animation Institute in Nakhon Pathom in Thailand, which was shortlisted for the Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 2013 and named the winner of the Wienerberger Brick Award in 2014; and the design of The Wine Ayutthaya, a space dedicated to wine in Thailand's former capital. Boonserm was awarded the Royal Academy of Arts’ Dorfman Prize in 2019. He has lectured at universities worldwide and is currently assistant professor at the Faculty of Architecture at Chulalongkorn University.
