Chatpong "Chat" Chuenrudeemol is an architect deeply impacted by the beauty and ugliness of Bangkok. His architectural firm, Chat Architects, focuses on multi-scalar projects derived from its “Bangkok Bastards” research, or the documentation of the Thai capital’s live street vernacular—often overlooked for their informality, but brimming with architectural invention and cultural authenticity. 

Chat’s projects have won numerous local and international awards, including Thailand’s Silpathorn Award, the country’s highest award for contemporary artists. Chat’s Angsila Oyster Scaffolding Pavilion has won top awards at Seoul Design Award for Sustainable Life, World Architecture Festival, Australian Good Design Award, Taiwan’s Golden Pin Design Best of the Best Award, and Asia Pacific’s INDE Awards for Influencer of the Year.
