Daphne Lundi

Daphne Lundi is an urban planner, climate policymaker, writer, and artist. She is the managing director of Urban Ocean Lab, a nonprofit think tank advancing climate and ocean policy for coastal cities. Previously, she served as deputy director for Living Streets and Public Spaces at the NYC Mayor’s Office of Climate and Environmental Justice, and held roles at the NYC Department of City Planning and FEMA. Daphne also runs an independent consultancy supporting cities, non-profits, and universities on climate and planning initiatives. She was an inaugural public scholar at the Moynihan Center at The City College of New York, and is a New City Critic with The Architectural League of NY and Urban Design Forum. She serves on the boards of BlackSpace, the Center for Zero Waste Design, and the Octavia Project. Her creative practice explores craft and speculative design as tools for reimagining climate, place, and the built environment.
