Hella Jongerius

Hella Jongerius is a leading Dutch designer, known for her research-driven approach and work uniting craftsmanship with industrial production, infusing mass-produced objects with imperfection and character. She founded Jongeriuslab in 1993, working on projects for Vitra, Maharam, the UN Delegates’ Lounge, and KLM cabin interiors. Her exhibitions include the Design Museum London, Die Neue Sammlung Munich, Nationalmuseum Stockholm, Lafayette Anticipations Paris, Gropius Bau Berlin, and Salon94 New York. Her work is in collections at MoMA, Centre Pompidou, Die Neue Sammlung, Boijmans, and the V&A Museum. In 2024 her archive was acquired by the Vitra Design Museum. Since 2009 she has lived in Berlin, and since 2021 divides her time between Berlin and Arnhem.
