Indy Johar

Indy Johar is an architect and co-founder of Dark Matter Labs, a field laboratory focused on building the institutional infrastructures for new civic societies through systems change. The lab works with organizations around the world, including the UNDP, Climate Kic (EU), McConnell (Canada), the Scottish Government, and Bloxhub (Copenhagen).
Dark Matter is part of 00, a collaborative studio of architects, strategic designers, programmers, social scientists, economists, and urban designers practicing design beyond its traditional borders, of which Indy is co-founder. He is also the founding director of Open Systems Lab, and the non-executive director of its WikiHouse project. Johar sits on the advisory board for the Future Observatory at the Design Museum in London.
Indy has taught and lectured at various institutions including the University of Bath, TU Berlin, University College London, Princeton University, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and New School. He is currently professor at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT).
