Jaida Grey Eagle is an Oglala Lakota documentary photographer. She is a member of the Women’s Photograph, Indigenous Photograph, and 400 Years projects. Grey Eagle served as a Report for America fellow with the Sahan Journal, a news platform covering Minnesota immigrant communities. Grey Eagle is a co-producer of Sisters Rising (2020), a documentary that tells the story of six Native American women reclaiming personal and tribal sovereignty in the face of ongoing sexual violence against Indigenous women in the United States. The documentary received an Honorable Mention at the Big Sky Doc Festival. Grey Eagle has contributed to The New Yorker, Smithsonian Magazine, New York Times Magazine, The Washington Post, ProPublica, Fujifilm, The Urban Institute, The Wall Street Journal, and Netflix.
