Klaus Thymann is a Danish explorer, scientist, and fellow at both The Explorers Club and the Royal Geographical Society. As an award-winning photographer, filmmaker, and creative director, he combines journalism, mapping, and exploration, emphasizing contemporary issues and climate change. His documentary work has reached millions through outlets like BBC, CNN, and The Guardian, and he's created installations for institutions, NGOs, Nike, Sony, and Red Bull. An experienced mountaineer and technical diver, Thymann has led over 50 expeditions globally, discovering corals in Danish waters, prehistoric bones in submerged Mexican caves, and uncharted glaciers in Nepal and Congo DRC. Collaborating with NASA, UN, and others, he’s developed innovative environmental methodologies. Thymann founded the ecological charity Project Pressure, using art, science, and activism to drive impactful environmental action, with support from notable partners including Rolex, UNICEF, and Arts Council England.
