Paul Smyth is co-founder and director of Something & Son. A pioneer in food-related art, the practice’s works criss-cross the boundaries between arts, architecture, and ecology through permanent installations and functional sculptures that provide a framework or foundation for communities and ecologies to use and build long term change. Smyth is a founder of Makerversity, Somerset House, and Mission Kitchen, New Covent Garden. Something & Son are part of Somerset House Studios.
