Ryūe Nishizawa co-founded the firm SANAA with Kazuyo Sejima in 1995. In 1997, Nishizawa established his own firm, Office of Ryue Nishizawa, which continues to collaborate closely with SANAA. In 2010, Nishizawa and Sejima together became the youngest ever recipients of the Pritzker Prize. Their most significant projects of recent years include the Rolex Learning Center in Lausanne, Switzerland (2010); The Louvre-Lens in France (2012); the Tsuruoka Cultural Center in Japan (2018), Bocconi School of Management in Milan, Italy (2019), and the Sydney Modern extension to the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Australia (2022). Nishizawa was awarded the Golden Lion Award for most significant work at the 2004 Venice Architecture Biennale. He has been a professor at Yokohama National University in Japan since 2010.
