Dr Salima Naji graduated from ENSA La-Villette in Paris in 2002. Authorized to practice in Morocco since 2004, she has built as part of an innovative, environmentally friendly approach. Called upon to work on major projects by the Moroccan government, revitalization of Ksar d’Assa and of Citadel of Agadir Oufella, she has also taken on small projects with a social dimension. From her initial research on ksours and kasbahs (1993–96), and after a long study trip to Mali (1995), she devoted her PhD to collective granaries which she saved from ruin (using her own funds), also thanks to the Young Architects’ Prize (2004–06), the US Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (2009–12), and partnership with research-action programs with universities, NGOs, museums, or bilateral collective actions. She has received numerous national and international awards, including Global Award for sustainable architecture 2025, or the RIBA’ list of Women in Practice in 2023.

The World Around allows us to think and rethink the idea of regeneration by bringing all generations to look together after the planet.
