Shariffa Anguria is a young activist from Kakamega, Kenya. She works as the communications officer for the Rising to Greatness organization, which addresses the injustices that women, girls, and people with disability face within the gold mining sector of Kakamega. Shariffa uses her storytelling and digital skills to amplify the voices of the people within the marginalized communities. Shariffa was privileged to be among the first Young Climate Prize cohort.
