The World Around creates a vital space for dialogue across cultures and disciplines—something our field urgently needs to imagine new futures. What gives me hope is how it brings together unexpected voices and highlights work rooted in community and care, reminding us that big societal challenges aren’t solved by grand designs alone. Through the lenses of beauty, wonder, and shared experience, I believe we can expand how architecture can respond to the world around us more emphatically and empathetically.
