Zoha Waqas Aslam Malik

Zoha Waqas is the climate action lead at Tayaba, Pakistan’s fastest-growing social enterprise tackling water scarcity through tech-enabled H2O (Help-2-Others) Solutions. In under four years, Tayaba has transformed over a million lives and delivered over half a billion liters of safe water to climate-vulnerable communities, especially women and children in rural Pakistan.
Zoha leads the H2O Solutions for Climate Action initiative, addressing the safe water and sanitation crisis faced by rural women, 80% of whom walk miles carrying heavy clay pots. The H2O Wheel, a climate-smart, labor-saving 40L device, reduces physical strain by 90% and halves collection time, freeing women for education, income, and well-being. Zoha’s work has earned her the Diana Award 2024 and UNDP’s Youth4Climate Award, recognizing her innovation-led impact on climate justice and gender equity.
“Young people and the planet must not only coexist, they must co-create the future. That spirit of unity and design is what The World Around embodies, and that’s what inspires me most.”
