AllSpace Modular Homes

AllSpace Refugee Tent Design by Blossom Eromosele.

Blossom Eromosele, winner of the Young Climate Designer Award, is pioneering sustainable solar-powered modular housing for refugees in Nigeria. Crafted from recycled tarpaulin and aluminum and inspired by the form of traditional African huts, each unit can be locally produced for just $120. By merging vernacular design with renewable energy and modern construction, Blossom’s project delivers dignified, affordable, and climate-conscious shelter to some of the most vulnerable communities. Beyond housing, the initiative empowers refugees themselves. By involving them in the building process, it generates employment, strengthens cultural ties to heritage, and fosters a holistic model of resilience and self-sufficiency. As part of the Young Climate Prize, Blossom was mentored by Katie Swenson, architect, educator, and senior principal at MASS Design Group, whose expertise in housing and community-centered design helped refine the project’s vision and impact.
