Kunlé Adeyemi In Conversation with Beatrice Galilee

Kunlé Adeyemi is a Nigerian architect, urbanist, and creative researcher. He is the founder and principal of NLÉ, an Amsterdam-based practice that integrates architecture, design, and urbanism with social and environmental research. Adeyemi is internationally acclaimed for projects that rethink urban living in complex contexts, most notably the Makoko Floating School, a pioneering floating structure built for the historic water community of Makoko in Lagos, Nigeria. His work, recognized with the Silver Lion at the 2018 Venice Biennale, is celebrated for combining innovative design, rigorous research, and socially engaged approaches to architecture and urbanism.
