This May, The World Around’s Chairman’s Circle gathered in Venice for the vernissage days of the 19th International Architecture Biennale. Led by our executive director, Beatrice Galilee, members experienced an insider’s tour of the city during one of the most anticipated cultural events in the world.

The program highlighted Beatrice’s personal selection of pavilions and exhibitions across the Giardini, Arsenale, and beyond, offering thoughtful insights into the themes and practices shaping architecture today. Alongside these highlights, the group was welcomed into a series of special dinners and receptions, meeting architects, curators, and collaborators in intimate settings that encouraged lively exchange and reflection.

Between official events, members had the chance to explore Venice’s unique atmosphere—its canals, palazzi, and hidden gardens providing the backdrop for conversations about the future of architecture and design.
