Claire Webb is associate director of programs at the Berggruen Institute, where she directs the Future Humans program. Through its projects, Future Humans connects experimenters, creators, and scholars who are shaping how humans of the future will live alongside nature and emerging technologies. Claire earned her PhD from MIT’s History, Anthropology, and Science, Technology, and Society (HASTS) program in 2020. Her book project, Reflexive Alienation, explores how scientists since the Space Age have designed sophisticated experiments of expectation that anticipate non-human beings and intelligence.
