Deema Assaf

Deema Assaf is a Jordanian architect, researcher, and urban forester. She is founding partner of TAYYŪN, an Amman-based research studio exploring the intersections of urbanism, deep ecology, and ethics of place-making. Her work focuses on regeneration of urban ecosystems through native forest creation and cross-species architecture, and aims to transform and rewild cities as rich multi-species ecosystems. Deema’s work has been featured on Euronews, Al-Jazeera, and BBC, among others. She lives and works in Amman.
