Eva Franch i Gilabert is an architect, curator, and researcher working at the intersection of architecture, art, and politics. She is the co-founder of FAST, a transdisciplinary platform exploring future imaginaries through speculative design, curatorial strategies, and critical inquiry. Her practice positions architecture as a cultural act, addressing pressing global challenges. Eva currently teaches at UMPRUM, the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague; at Columbia University’s GSAPP in New York; and is a distinguished professor at the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts. Her work has been exhibited internationally at the Venice Architecture Biennale, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Vitra Design Museum among others. She served as director of the AA in London and of Storefront for Art and Architecture in New York. Her latest book, "100 words for Water: a projective ecosocial vocabulary" published by Lars Muller, presents work by philosophers, scientists, architects and experts from across the world.

“The World Around creates a rare space where architecture, ecology, and radical imagination meet. Supporting this platform means supporting a global dialogue that transcends disciplines and borders—an urgent project that fuels hope for more equitable, inspired futures.”
