Sandra Jackson-Dumont

Sandra Jackson-Dumont is a curator, author, educator, administrator, and public advocate for reimagining the role of art museums in society. She has served as director and CEO of the new Lucas Museum of Narrative Art since January 2020. Sandra oversees all curatorial, educational, public, and operational affairs for the fast-developing institution, including the realization of its 11-acre (nearly 4.5-hectare) campus in Los Angeles, which includes a nearly 300,000-square-foot (28,000-square-meter) museum building and an expansive public park. Throughout her roles with some of the country’s most renowned museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Studio Museum in Harlem, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Seattle Art Museum, and now the Lucas Museum, Sandra has collaborated extensively with artists and communities.
