The More than Human Anthropocene

This film, created by The World Around for Summit 2021, explores the extraordinary world of Feral Atlas, an online experience created by the anthropologists Anna Tsing (author of The Mushroom at the End of the World), Jennifer Deger, Alder Keleman Saxena, and Feifei Zhou, offers an original and playful approach to the study of the Anthropocene. Focused on the nonhuman world’s reaction to human intervention, Feral Atlas examines reports of “feral” ecologies, those that have been encouraged by human-built infrastructures. In this video, the editors explore the structures and qualities that lie at the heart of the feral and make the phenomenon possible
