Tanzhaus Zürich

Barozzi Veiga is an internationally acclaimed architecture studio founded in Barcelona in 2004 by Fabrizio Barozzi and Alberto Veiga. The office has developed a reputation for strikingly refined public buildings that balance bold form with sensitivity to context and history. Their projects often reinterpret cultural and civic institutions through a contemporary lens, creating spaces that are both monumental and deeply connected to place. In 2015, Barozzi Veiga received the Mies van der Rohe Award for European Architecture for the Szczecin Philharmonic Hall in Poland, and later the RIBA Award for International Excellence for the Graubünden Museum of Fine Arts in Chur, Switzerland. At The World Around, the architects present their Zürich Tanzhaus (2019), a cultural landmark that redefines the relationship between architecture, landscape, and performance.
